Ed Leedskalnin was a very interesting and curious man. He believed he had fundamental understanding of electricity and magnetism He built  the coral castle located in Florida. No one knows how this small Latvian man built this great monument He also wrote a few strange books which were kind of study guides for magnetism and electricity based on his understanding of magnetism . This is one of the experiments listed in his  book. instruction on making an electromagnet into some kind of permanent magnet and then turning that back into electricity.
